OBITUARY
Michael E. Raub, aged 70 years, of 117 Ridgeway Street, East Stroudsburg, passed away at the General Hospital last Friday. Mr. Raub was known to hundreds, having been prominent in East Stroudsburg's business and church affiars for the past thirty years.
Born near Blairstown, NJ, September 30, 1863, Mr. Raub spent his early life on his father's farm in that section. I n 1889, he married Miss Fannie Divers, also of Blairstown , after which Mr. and Mrs. Raub started a general merchandise store at Vail, NJ.
This business was successfully operated for a period of twelve years and then Mr. Raub moved to East Stroudsburg where he became the partner of L.H. Burnett, furniture dealer and undertaker. Two years later Mr. Burnett sold his share of the business to J.H. Lanterman and the concern was operated as Raub and Lanterman up to about 15 years ago, when ill health forced Mr. Raub's retirement.
His parents were Erastus and Macrina Brands Raub, pioneer residents of Blairstown.
Mr. Raub is survived by his wife and the following brothers and sisters: Daniel B. Raub, of Maplewood, NJ; Mrs. Mary C. Hill, of Newark, NJ; Albert E. Raub, of East Stroudsburg; Mrs. John R. Wildrick, of Portland, and Mrs. Milton Mott, of Vail, NJ.


OBITUARY
The funeral services of the remains of the late Micahel E . Raub, prominent East Stroudsburg businessman for many years, whose death was announced in the The Record yesterday, will be held from his late home, 117 Ridgway Street, that place, on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. George Paul Beck, pastor of the East Stroudsburg Methodist Episcopal Church, and Rev. H.F. Hamer, a former pastor, will be the officiating clergymen. Interment will be in the family plot in Prospect Cemetery. Glenn W. Kisor, of Stroudsburg, is the funeral director in charge of arrangements. Funeral services were held at the late home on Monday at 2:30 pm. The Rev. Paul Beck, pastor of East Stroudsburg M. E. Church, of which the deceased was a member, officiated, and interment was in the family plot at the (rest is torn away). 120
