  General Notes:

In the name of God, amen. I William Cool of the Township of Knowlton, county of Sussex, & State of New Jersey, being weak in body yet of perfect(?) sound mind and memory & calling to mind the mortality of my body & knowing that it is appointed unto all men once(?) to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in form and manner following (that is) first it is my will and order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon as may be convenient after my decease. Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my three sons William Cool, Adam Cool & Paul Cool, one dollar each. Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my six daughters, that is, Anna Raub, Mary Linnaburey, Catherine Swayzy, Christiana Cool, Elizabeth Teel & Margaret Frees, one dollar each. Fourthly I give & bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Cool the residue of all my personal estate that is not above mentioned of every kind & description whatever in whom lands (are?) found, to her & her use during her natural life, & for her to dispose of it, as she shall see cause or think proper. Lastly, I nominate & appoint my son Adam Cool & my son-in-law Andrew Teel executors of this my last will & testament, revoking & annulling all other wills by me before made. In witness whereof I have set my hand & seal this sixth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen.
