The death of James Lanterman occurred Saturday in the 92nd year of his age. He was a son of William Lanterman and was born where C.E. Raub now lives. He married Electra Ann Biles, and after her death married Lucy Ann Rice, who died seven years ago. Of six children, four survive, Mrs. Emma Reed of New York City; Jason of Paulina; Frank of Berwick, PA; and George of Marksboro. Mr. Lanterman spent his entire life within two miles of Blairstown and resided on the farm where he lived for 42 years. His kindness of heart and willingness to help a neighbor were outstanding.
James married Lucy A. Rice, daughter of Abraham Rice and Sarah Raub. (Lucy A. Rice was born on 9 Oct 1823 155 and died on 1 Jun 1911 155.)
