In the name of God amen. I Andrew Raub Sr. of Knowlton, County of Sussex and State of New Jersey, being of perfect and sound mind and memory and calling to mind the mortal of my body and knowing that it is appointed for all men (ever?) to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and “form” following (that is) principally and first of all I recommend my soul unto the Land of God that gave it, and as for my body, I recommend it to the earth to be buried in decent manner at the discretion of my executors hereafter named, nothing doubting but at the general (?) to receive the same again and as touching such worldly estate it hath pleased God to bless me with I give devise and bequeath in manner and “form” following, (?), I order my executors to sell my personal estate within four weeks after my decease, and out of the sales to pay all my just debts and funeral expenses, and the residue or amount over and above paying my just debts and funeral charges I order to be equally divided among my sons and daughters, share and share alike, my son Michael receiving his share of my personal estate with what he has already had I consider it to be as much as either of my others live sons will have, therefore I give him no more. I order that my executors deliver to my two sons, Andrew and Jacob, the deeds already executed for them on condition of their paying or securing to be paid the following “sums” of money, (that is) Andres Raub to pay the sum of three hundred and thirty pounds, and Jacob Raub the sum of four hundred and forty pounds, which said sums to be paid as follows (that is) one year after my decease each to pay twenty five pounds and so on yearly and every year each to pay the sum of twenty five pounds until the whole be paid or so long so that sum will hold, and after the remainder for the last payment, and these sums to paid to my daughters as follows (that is) the first payment to my daughters Sara Hartzel and Barbary Shoemaker, the second to my daughters Cecily Freese and Charlotte Wies, and the third payment to my daughters Elizabeth Pullis and Susanna Cool, though it is my will and order that my daughter Susanna Cool shall receive only the interest of her share during her life, and after her death, the principal to be divided equally among her children, the fourth to my daughter Margaret the sum of twenty five pounds, and so on till they receive one hundred pounds each, always beginning at the oldest, and go to the youngest, and then I order that each of “my” daughters have ten pounds as soon as the payment s of Andrew and Jacob will admit of making in all the sum of one hundred (?) pounds to each daughter, and lastly I constitute and appoint my eldest son Michael Raub and my son-in-law Peter Freese (?) and only executors of this my last will and testament, hereby (several words I can't read) all and every other will and testament by me before this time made, or legacy bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament in writing whereas I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eleventh day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and six.
