Thelma H. Reuther Formerly of New Jersey Thelma (nee Hegnauer) Reuther, age 97, of the Town of Tonawanda, died Friday, January 7, 2005, at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Born September 9, 1907 in Newark, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Wilhelmina (nee Fischer) Hegnauer and had been a resident of Irvington, New Jersey before moving to the Tonawandas. She was the wife of the late George A. Reuther, who died in 1988, and mother of the late Donald, Alan and Barbara. She is survived by her grandsons, James L. Reuther, M.D. and his wife, Cecille Reuther, M.D. of Vancouver, Washington, and T. Scott Reuther of Astoria, New York; and her daughter-in-law, Janet Reuther of Tonawanda. Services were cared for privately at the convenience of the family, followed by interment at Hollywood Cemetery in New Jersey. Thelma married George A. Reuther, son of George A. Reuther and Hedwig "Hattie" Soeffing, on 10 Sep 1938 in Passaic, NJ. (George A. Reuther was born on 7 May 1907 in NJ,115 died on 14 Nov 1988 in Buffalo, Erie Co., NY 5 and was buried in Elmlawn Cemetery, Buffalo (Creamated).) The cause of his death was Myocardial infarct.
