Whereas Thomas Gordon of Amwell, Hunterdon County did convey to the said George Mordan 200 acres in Sussex County on 3 April 1767 the same place where Mordan now lives ... L 150 ... 33-1/3 acre & 20 perches on the Delaware River. Signed by George and Elenor X Mordan. Witnesses: Judith Butler & R. Shackleton and Wm. Moland. Judge Robert Hoops. On 9 February 1792 George X Mordan and Elinor X Mordan gave deposition to Judge Robert Hoops. (George Mordan signed the deed on 24 March 1769 but on 9 February 1792 he signed by his mark.CWD) ³⁵⁰

George married Elinor "Neeltjen" Emmens, daughter of Jan* Emmens and Elinor (Neeltje "Nellie")* Van Aaken. (Elinor "Neeltjen" Emmens was christened on 19 May 1728 in Kingston, Ulster Co., NY ⁹¹.)
