RAYMOND LEWIS RAUB--A native of Harmony and a farmer held in high repute, Raymond Lewis Raub is considered one of the most successful farmers in the dairy business. Well educated, keenly intelligent, Mr. Raub has been a student of farming and agriculture in the perfecting of his acres and creamery. He is actively interested in the political questions and problems of his county, and is affiliated with several fraternal organizations. Growing to manhood on his father's acres, he acquired a love and respect for the land, and was born with the ability and understanding nature that has been so instrumental in his success.

Born in Harmony, February 22, 1892, he is the son of Jesse and Alice (Kieffer) Raub. His father was born also in Harmony, and has lived in its community all his life. He is now a retired farmer. His mother was born at Martin's Creek, Pennsylvania, in 1859, and died in March 1926. Raymond Lewis Raub received his early education at Harmony and at Westfield, New Jersey, and studied at the Lerch Preparatory School of Easton, Pennsylvania. He entered Lafayette College and studeid there for a year and a half, but eye trouble compelled him to discontinue his studies, and he returned to his home. In 1921, after he had assisted his father on the farm, he purchased the farm and has since conducted it in his own name. He has in his property, 120 acres of land, and 50 head of cows. His creamery is modern and splendidly equipped. Mr. Raub also is engaged in the retailing of milk in Phillipsburg and in Easton, Pennsylvania, just across the Delaware River, and has a delivery of 100 quarts of milk daily.

In politics, Raymond Lewis Raub is interested in the Republican party. He is a member of the Kiwanis Club, and of the Knights of Pythias. He is affiliated with the Junior Order of the United American Mechanics, and attends the Presbyterian church in Harmony.

Raymond Lewis Raub married, at Stewartsville, October, 1913, Eleanor Oberly, of that community. Two sons have been born to them: 1. William J., born November 14, 1914. 2. R. Lewis, Jr., born January 19, 1916.
