This collection of records was in the possession of Mrs.
Horace Howell, Washington, N.J., in 1966. The loose record sheets
have been kept in a Bible published in Philadelphia by Matthew Carey, 1808,
which is inscribed “Sarrah Vought her Bible bought of Joseph ---- in Hope,
price $5, 1809.” The record sheet printed last below also contains
the written query: “Aunt Ann and Uncle Clive in Ebenezer Cem.?” Ebenezer
is in Frelinghuysen Township, in the upper part of Warren Co., where all
these families appear to have resided. Number 3540 of the GSNJ Family
Records Collection.
