Near Hackettstown, Warren co., at sunrise on the morning of the 12th
inst., of Hasty Consumption, Elizabeth D., wife of Samuel Johnson, in the
49th year of her age. The deceased was for many years a member of
the First Baptist Church, Newton, and was a faithful follower of the Lamb.
A word of consolation was often heard to fall from her tongue to those
who were afflicted. She died in the full prospect of a bright immortality.
Her last moments were peaceful and triumphant.
